Creating a new VM with VMware Server 1.0.x

I created this six minute video for work to demonstrate how to create a new virtual machine using VMware Server 1.0.x. It demonstrates how simple the process can be, although I also take a minute to show how I remedy a certain pet peeve that I have with the process.

Yes, the current release of VMware Server is version 2. However, I don't like it as much. It it much more complicated and runs slower on similar hardware. If I wanted the newer administration features, I'd switch to ESXi, which we also use, although ESXi is much more particular about the hardware it will run on. VMware Server 1 is still available for download and still has occasional maintenance releases. I don't know how long VMware will support this release, but I've had it running with uptimes of over a year without problems, so I don't plan to migrate away from it very soon.
